Bouquet

On the nose the fruity and floral notes of a "high altitude" Sangiovese are immediately revealed in all their aromaticity, accompanied by fresh mineral notes.

Flavour

The sip is smooth, crisp and accompanied by an excellent sapidity that recalls the drink. The tannin is present and masterfully integrated. The acidity, in excellent balance, accompanies towards a long, fresh finish.

Red meat, roast chicken, cold cuts, medium and mature cheeses, first courses with meat sauces and soups.

I always use Xtrawine and the service is always good There appears to have been a change this time around with the wine sent direct from Italy. Previously orders on the .co.uk site came from London so arrived much quicker. This means delivery takes a bit longer although the packaging was much better than before.
