Description

Type of wine

Uberti Franciacorta Rosé Brut Francesco I is a Traditional Method sparkling wine with a fresh and fragrant profile. Crafted from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it presents a pale pink colour, an abundant mousse and a refined, persistent perlage. The bouquet releases notes of raspberry, strawberry and cyclamen, touched by hints of vanilla sugar. On the palate, it offers a fruity and floral taste, structured and with excellent purity, supported by a pleasant minerality.

Where it comes from

This wine is born in Franciacorta, from the Uberti vineyards located in the municipalities of Erbusco, Adro and Cazzago San Martino. The vines are rooted in hilly soils of morainic origin, rich in stones and minerals, dry and always well-ventilated. These soil and climate characteristics give the wine a decisive tension and a marked minerality, ensuring perfect aromatic precision and great overall cleanliness.

How it is produced

After careful selection, a portion of the Pinot Noir undergoes maceration on the skins to extract colour and character. The base wines are vinified in steel tanks before the blend is assembled. Following the tirage, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the rules of the Traditional Method, with ageing for over thirty months on the lees which gives the wine great structure and complexity. The process concludes with disgorgement and a further six months of resting before being released onto the market.

The Uberti winery was established in 1793 in thevillage of Salem in the town of Erbusco, when this family of winegrowers began producing Franciacorta wines even before they became famous. Beginning in 1980, Uberti imposed itself on the wine scene with the production of Classic Method sparkling wines that were both complex and refined. Today, the Cantina Uberti boasts some 25 hectares under vine with an annual production of 180,000 bottles and great popularity. Uberti prides itself on a method of production that respects the terroir by aiming to make the most of both existing and ancient vineyards. It is no coincidence that only natural fertilisers are used and that work in the vineyard is carried out using the hands and few mechanical tools. The Uberti Franciacorta wines are distinguished by their elegant taste and aromatic richness. At Xtrawine you can find a wide selection of Franciacorta Uberti wines, which have been awarded major prizes by the AIS Association, made from Chardonnay and Blend Rosso that go perfectly with your shellfish, pasta and cheese dishes.
