Aosta Valley is an arduous territory, often "harsh", for those who produce wine, both for physical, geographical, altitude and climate limits. In fact, the Aosta Valley production will never be able to count on large quantities, so the objective is to focus on quality and invest, with conviction, in the territory.

Rosset Terroir has strongly bet on these aspects and in a few years has managed to stand out and bring the Aosta Valley to the most important International stages.

A small private company that has been able to carve out an important space in wine production, closely linked to the Aosta Valley’s terroir, and which recently added another piece to its already important history, with the Sopraquota 900, awarded in the edition of Vini d’Italia 2019 with "I Tre Bicchieri", the prestigious award of the Gambero Rosso publishing house that annually awards the best products region by region.
Sopraquota 900 also obtained the recognition of the "Quattro viti" on the important "Guida Vitae 2019”, with the company selected together with another 20 throughout Italy - one per region - for the Tastevin AIS award with a motivation that leaves no doubt and that speaks of "Wines that have contributed to a productive turnaround in the territory of origin, that represent reference models of undisputed value in their respective areas, or that have rescued forgotten grape varieties from oblivion and brought them back to the attention of the sector".

The company's history began in 2001, when the Rosset family decided to planting vines on their own land in the Senin area of Saint-Christophe.

The first cultivated plot is about three hectares and sees as its first planting, International Chardonnay vines, followed by Syrah and the native Cornalin.

In the expansion of the range, the Petit Rouge was planted, another autochthonous vine, selected with great care by Matteo Moretto, agronomist and winemaker of the company.

In recent years the company has invested in Chambave, with 2 hectares of Moscato bianco vineyards’, where our Chambave Muscat Vallée d'Aoste DOP was born, and in Villeneuve with another 2 hectares located in truly heroic places, over 900 meters tall where we grow our Petite Arvine and Pinot Gris.
