Unity is strength. Following this motto, the Cellars Nalles (established in 1932) and Magre-Niclara (established in 1954) both full of tradition, started a mutually beneficial union in 1985.
The purpose was to gather into a single company some of the best wine growers from the Strada del Vino (wine road) of Alto Adige. Today, 140 growers cultivate 150 hectares of vineyards and harvest the grapes for the Nals Margreid Cellar. Our associates create a unique ‘’Cuveé’’, resulting from their individual personal experiences and ideas for the future.
Philosophy
When considering the Nals Margreid (in Italian: Nalles Magre) Cellar, it seems like a bunch of many tasty grapes. In this small handcrafted winery, a huge variety of vineyards, soils, vines and microclimates are brought together harmoniously. The winery’s natural complexity is reflected in its wines, rich in character and peculiarities.
They combine the best of the wines produced in the various Alto Adige subzones.
Innovation
Indigenous, innovative, genuine: the Nals Magreid vineyard is deeply rooted in its region, Alto Adige/South Tyrol. It is always open to new methods and technologies for the production of high quality wines, without losing touch with tradition.
Character and genuineness are the main qualities of our wines. They aim at being unique and pure like the soil and the people who work it day after day, following paths both traditional and modern.
