Casa Di Mirafiore is located in Serralunga d'Alba (Cuneo), in the Piedmont region.
The winery was founded at the end of the 1800s by Count Emanuele Alberto of Mirafiore, son of Vittorio Emanuele II and La Bella Rosin.
Since 1878, Casa E. Di Mirafiore has been overlooking this UNESCO world heritage landscape with his estates in Barolo and Serralunga, the heart of one of the world's most famous wines: Barolo.
It is also thanks to Casa E. Di Mirafiore that the world is aware of Barolo. It is in fact the first winery to export Barolo worldwide.
This estate is synonymous with quality, as it is home to two of the best Cru vineyards in the Langhe: Lazzarito (on one of Serralunga d'Alba's most magnificent slopes) and Paiagallo.
In this town, Serralunga d'Alba, tradition is never forgotten. Even today, the style of Casa E. Mirafiore is defined by fermentation in concrete tanks and enormous Slavonian oak barrels for ageing. Read more

Story | Cesare Pavese in his book "The moon and the bonfires", described the ritual magic of the fire to chase away the "masche" in the days before the harvest, describing it as the most magical time of the year. We dedicated this vineyard to magic, rediscovering an old story found in the 80s when two stones were found anthropomorphic at the head of a row of an old vineyard, called "camongin" on the hill of Vesime, the last survivors of twenty-four carved couples who marked the landscape of the vineyard. |

Climate | Altitude: 200 m. a.s.l. Exposure: South, South-West. |
Soil composition | Limestone marl. |
Wine making | Halfway through fermentation, when the Nebbiolo is on its skins, a delastage is made by separating the wine from the skin of the grapes and passing it on the skins of the Barbera in contact for at least 2 hours. After this passage, the wine is put back on its original skins, those of Nebbiolo, after the alcoholic fermentation, the wine is macerated in submerged cap for up to 60 days, here the magic happens: the wine independently carries out the malolactic fermentation, the tannin softens, the acidity balances with the body becoming of a disarming elegance, so elegant that it is almost ready to drink. |
Aging | Passed in large casks of 1 year, the complexity and structure of the wine find their perfect size. |
Allergens | Contains sulphites |
