The Collio, in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, is a land with a deep-rooted vocation for viticulture. The two prestigious companies Marco Felluga and Russiz Superiore tell the story of a family that, for six generations, has been passing on and cultivating its passion for wine. The family’s history can be traced to more than 150 years ago, in the second half of 1800, in Istria, a land which is now shared between Slovenia and Croatia.

This path was significantly taken forward by Marco Felluga, a pioneer of modern viticulture. It was then continued with love and entrepreneurship by Roberto and Ilaria Felluga, supporters of sustainable and high-quality winemaking.

Story Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is very old varietal that originally came from the area between Carso and Istria and has been documented as growing in Venezia Giulia since 1467.
Origin Village of Farra d’Isonzo in the Collio DOC.
Climate Altitude: 80 m. a.s.l.
Soil composition The Collio’s hilly terrain, formed during the Eocene period, is composed of layers of sandstone and loam rock (limestone and clay) that were once the ocean floor. These soils are impermeable so rainwater flows off their surface, producing little erosion.
Cultivation system Guyot.
Wine making After destemming, the grapes underwent maceration in large stainless steel vats, and were delicately pressed to maintain their varietal flavorus and aromas.
Aging In large and small oak casks for 12 months. After bottling, the wine aged in the cellar for approximately 6 months.
Year production 25000 bottles
Allergens Contains sulphites
