Le Casematte Faro 2021

The Faro DOC granted the DOC appellation in 1976 even if this local wine dates back to ancient times. It is one of Italy's smallest appellations and is high above the Strait of Messina. It is made exclusively from autochthonous varieties most suitable to the soil in the Messina Area.

顏色

Ruby red with dark and bright reflections.

香氣/花束

Ample and elegant aromas of ripe red berry fruit, floral notes and hints reminiscent of Mediterranean scrub, spices, nutmeg and pepper in particular, against a background of perfectly integrated noble wood.

味道

It is well-balanced between elegant and firm tannins and has a round, rich fruity flavour that is long and persistent.

Pairing

Roasts or braised meat with mushrooms, aged cheese and rich, structured dishes.
