Produced only in the most favourable vintages, Solana originates from a unique terroir in the world in terms of microclimate and soil characteristics, located at an altitude of 500-600 m. a.s.l., from Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah grapes obtained by reproduction through mass selection. The grapes come from the historic Sangiovese and Merlot vines, which combine in perfect balance with the more recent Syrah vines, perfectly adapted to this terroir.

Deep red with purple reflections.

香氣/花束

The bouquet is elegant with persistent mineral, balsamic, floral and fruity notes such as jam and blackberry. The bouquet is completed with spicy and cocoa notes from ageing in wood.

味道

On the palate, it is ample but at the same time supported by balanced acidity and good tastiness, with distinct notes of prune, vanilla and chocolate. The finish is long and intense enhancing the soft tannin.

Pairing

Suitable as a wine to be enjoyed by itself. It is also perfect in combination with red meats.

釀造	The grapes are harvested by hand when perfectly ripe, and maceration lasts 40 days. After initial settling, the wine is placed to age in steel tanks for a few days and then transferred to first-passage oak barriques. These represent the winery's highest selection of wood and are called 'heart selection'.
陳年	In barriques it is aged for 12 months. The process ends with bottle ageing until optimal ageing is reached.
