Castello di Meleto Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Trebbio 2018

The Trebbio vineyard is a CRU in the Meleto sub-zone. The decision to enhance this vineyard stems from the desire to exalt the multiple expressions of Sangiovese that Castello di Meleto offers. Its rows also include vines of Ciliegiolo and Colorino, minor varieties historically used in the Chianti Classico blend, representing a heritage of biodiversity that Castello di Meleto wished to preserve. The Trebbio becomes the third Chianti Classico Gran Selezione of Castello di Meleto.

顏色

Bright purple with garnet reflections with ageing.

香氣/花束

Aromas of ripe red fruit, morello cherry, spices and aromatic herbs.

味道

Round and velvety taste with direct but not aggressive tannins. Long and tasty finish.

Pairing

Thanks to its marked freshness, it is perfect for accompanying meaty dishes and should also be tried in combination with soft or medium-aged cheeses.

土地的組成	Clayey with a good proportion of red sands in the north-east and an increasing proportion of alberese in the south.
收成	By hand. The grapes are then destemmed and crushed.
釀造	The must thus obtained begins the fermentation at a controlled temperature. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine will remain in contact with the skins for about 15-20 days, followed by racking into concrete vats to favour decantation, where malolactic fermentation will subsequently begin.
