For over 140 years, since 1875, the Camerano family has been producing Barolo di Barolo, carefully searching for the best red grapes in order to create a wine that best expresses the authentic character of our land, the Langhe. For generations, the family has followed the philosophy of extreme care of the territory and the environment, paying attention to the continuous improvement of winemaking techniques without ever forgetting the past. There is no concession to fashion to produce the great wines of the Langhe, first of all Barolo and its "cru", as tradition requires. Wines of great impact and sensational aromas without compromise.
Among our wines, in fact, stand out the Barolo Cannubi and Barolo Cannubi San Lorenzo, both from vineyards located in the town of Barolo, hence the indication Barolo di Barolo, produced from vineyards that are aged between 5 and 25 years. Both Barolo are produced with traditional style, with macerations of over ten days of duration and aging in oak barrels of 25, 30, 50 hectoliters. Our wines, therefore, have a somewhat austere style, with tannins that are felt especially when the wines are young, but that ensures a remarkable hold over time for all those who have the patience to let the wines rest in the cellar before uncorking.
The point of sale and the Cantina Camerano are located in the center of the town of Barolo, in Via Roma, just before the Town Hall and are always open to the public, Sundays included, to taste the wines "created" by the winemaker Pier Ettore Camerano: Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, and the three different Barolo as well as Barolo Chinato. The Camerano Winery has 12 hectares of land, planted with Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera.
