History	Espadeiro is a dark-skinned grape variety used in the production of dry red and rosé wines in northern Portugal's Vinho Verde region. Just across the Spanish border to the north, Espadeiro is also used in Rias Baixas, in both blended and varietal red wines. These tend to be light-bodied and are best consumed in their youth.
