Dr. Loosen Wehlener Sonnennuhr Riesling Spatlese 2017
Spätlese is German for “late picked.” It has more richness and body than Kabinett because the grapes are allowed to ripen for an extra week or more. The extra time on the vine allows for greater development of flavor and aroma, what Ernst Loosen refers to as “aromatic ripeness.”

Colour

Pale yellow with green hues.

Bouquet

Bouquet of ripe melon and tangerine flavors with some notes of dried ginger.

Flavour

Rich and juicy, with a mouth-filling texture. Crisp finish, delivering hints of sage honey and tarragon. Pure-tasting and tracy on the finish.

Pairing

Fish
Shellfish
Cheese
