Domaine Du Trembay Quincy Sucellus 2014
The small wine region of Quincy still to be discovered is located in the wine region of the Loire, slightly west of the famous denominations of Sancerre and Menetou-Salon. The area has a relatively cool climate, very different from, for example, in the south of France. In the Loire, the grapes need more time to ripen and store more acids.
The Quincy Sucellus is the flagship of Jean and Chantal. The grapes come from the oldest vineyards of the domain. The wine was then fermented and aged in new oak barrels from the forests of Berry, near Quincy. The name Succelus derives from the name of the homonymous Gallic God of the forest and wine.
