This property, located in the town of Gorges in the heart of the vineyards of Nantes is one of the oldest properties of the vineyard of Muscadet. It totaled formerly 300 hectares which were fragmented following the wars of Vendée. This property extends on a hill of 17 ha with at its windy climate typical of the Nantes region.

Soil composition The vineyard of the Domaine de la Gravelle is composed of a volcanic rock: covered with a layer of clay of 40cm. The particularity of this soil gives these wines a minerality and a lemony note characteristic of this terroir.
Yield per hectare 50hl/ha
Vinification The wine is vinified on lees. The lees is the result of a natural sedimentation of the wine's during the winter. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine rests on its lees all the winter until bottling at the end of March.
Ageing 8 months on lees.
