Bastianich Vespa Bianco 2016
Flagship Bastianich, the Vespa Bianco was created to highlight the power and the evolution that a great Friulian white can achieve. The Vespa manages to transcend the sum of its parts, confirming a wine of complexity and longevity out of the commune.

Colour

Nuances of yellow and gold with ancient reflections, very bright and extraordinarily clean.

Bouquet

The nose notes of wax, apricots in alcohol, broom and honey give the wine an immediate impact fresh yet structured. Its minerality is incredible, elevating it vertically and giving it extraordinary freshness.

Flavour

In the mouth all the complexity, the envelope, the silkiness and the structure of the wine expand with incredible finesse and elegance giving rise to feelings of caressing voluptuousness.

Pairing

It goes perfectly with coquillages and crustaceans, even if it peacefully faces any type of white meat and structured preparation (even smoked).

At the end of these phases, the two batches of must are joined together for the start of alcoholic fermentation. The varieties that make up the Vespa Bianco ferment separately, 50% in stainless steel at controlled temperature and the remaining 50% in oak barrels of 5 and 40 hectoliters.
Ageing At the end of fermentation, keeping most of the yeasts, begins a long period of "batonnage" alternated with racking until May, the month in which begins the phase of assembly of the different batches obtained, followed by bottling in July. Refinement in the bottle for more than a year completes the wine before it is released for sale.
