Acquired in 1894 by Edouard Eiffel, son of the famous architect of the Eiffel Tower, this vineyard is one of the most beautiful properties in the Bordeaux Supérieur region. Chateau Lafite Monteil owes its name to the Lafite vineyard which dates from 1812. The exceptional quality of its soil gives this wine its unique character.
Gustave Eiffel had designed this winery covering a total size of 12,000 square feet (1,100 square meters). The vat room is composed of stainless steel tanks and state of the art equipment including a new thermo-regulation system.
