||Grape grown mainly in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula.
||Grape variety introduced and cultivated mainly in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula since the days of ancient Rome. After recovering from disaster, the phylloxera epidemic of the late nineteenth century and caused a serious economic crisis in its traditional growing areas, is used for the production of aromatic and fruity wine, with intense color and breeding possibilities.
||The variety produces small, compact clusters, with medium sized berries with ellipsoidal shape. Juices or musts are colorless and neutral flavor, with a high sugar content but low acidity, especially those resulting from more mature fruits.
|Characteristics of the wine obtained from this grape variety
||Red vine giving light, fruity, fresh and tannic wines. It has a character similar to Marzemino or Cabernet Franc, with fruity notes (raspberry) and vegetable (leaf of pepper) which over time are enriched with advanced aromas.
