Respect for the terroir, for people and a responsible approach to the future – these are the values ??of Ruggeri, a winery founded in 1950 in Valdobbiadene that has always created innovation with research and development projects.
Ruggeri’s Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. are in fact born from fine grapes harvested in the splendid hills of Valdobbiadene, which UNESCO has declared a World Heritage Site, and within it, of Cartizze, a unique Cru of only 107 hectares renowned for its landscape and its ‘heroic’ traditions handed down for generations. It is precisely here that Ruggeri has become a true point of reference: thanks to the contribution of numerous historical suppliers, Ruggeri presses – of all the grapes produced in Cartizze – the highest percentage vinified by a single company.
Thanks to the refinement of the wines on the lees for periods well over 3 months and to a particular maturation in the bottle, Ruggeri takes Prosecco Superiore well beyond the definition of “young wine”. The winery was the first company to create a Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. produced only and exclusively with grapes from century-old vines, carefully selected by agronomists.
