Description
The Riserva is only made in exceptionally good years with the best Sangiovese selected from the estate’s oldest vineyards so in this sense we might well describe the Riserva as our “Grand Cru”. Like our other wines, the Riserva has great ageing potential, improving considerably over the years to express the quintessential features of Chianti-grown Sangiovese: minerality, fresh fruit and outstanding elegance...

Pairings
Val delle Corti is a small, family-run farm with five hectares of specialized vineyards plus a couple more which are rented, as well as about 600 olive trees. The property is organically farmed (certification will be official in 2014) and partly biodynamic. The vineyards, aged between four and 40 years old, produce five wines: three table wines (the reds, Il Campino and Lo Straniero, and a Rosé), a Chianti Classico and a Riserva. Completing the picture is a renovated stone-walled barn, now used for holiday accommodation. Visitors are always welcome, preferably by prior agreement by phone. Read more
