After more than twenty years of research, which began with the creation of the first edition of "La Quadratura del Cerchio" in 1995, Roberto Cipresso has come up with the identification of a diffuse terroir: a set of small plots, of extraordinary vineyards, of soils and climates rich in complexity that wind along an imaginary line located on the 43° Parallel North strip. The 43rd Parallel is magical, mystical, historical and modern, marine and continental, hot and cold. It passes through the places that gave birth to the grapevine - Georgia -, through points charged with energy, such as Medjugorje or Santiago de Compostela, and finally reaches Oregon, the new American frontier. But it is as it passes over Italy that the 43rd Parallel flies over what we consider to be the most suitable and expressive areas for vine cultivation: Tuscany, Umbria and the Marches.

In his work as a consultant and researcher, winemaker Roberto Cipresso has always worked to amplify the peculiarities of each individual terroir as much as possible. In his role as producer, he has always tried to blend the fruits of different terroirs in no man's land, creating ever new meticulous breeds and seeking out more daring and fascinating balances. He was then joined by his brother Gianfranco, pragmatic and objective, who guided him to focus on his two souls, finding the right mediation between them. He pushed him to find the ideal place, the perfect "playground", where a marked territoriality could coincide with the possibility of blending extraordinary native vines.
