Description

What kind of wine it is

DolceAcqua Beragna by Ka Mancine is a still red wine from Liguria that expresses the authentic identity of the Rossese grape variety. Within the renowned Rossese di Dolceacqua area, this wine presents itself with a ruby red colour with purple highlights. On the nose, it reveals an intense aromatic bouquet, where dark berries and sweet spices stand out, enhanced by delicate notes of peony, bay leaf and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it offers a decisive and slender sip, supported by vibrant freshness and savouriness, with a finish characterised by elegant tannins that invite another taste.

Where it comes from

This wine is born in Liguria, among the steep slopes of Soldano, in the province of Imperia. It is a tribute to the native Rossese grape, passionately cultivated by the Ka Mancine winery. Founded in 1998, this family-run business manages a few hectares of vineyards, maintaining a sought-after artisanal production. Under the guidance of oenologist Daniela Serra, the winery is committed to enhancing the local agricultural heritage, offering a faithful and sincere interpretation of its territory of origin.

How it is produced

The winemaking process aims to enhance the purity of the grape through fermentation and six months of ageing in stainless steel. This technical choice preserves the fragrance of the aromas and the pleasant smoothness of the sip. To best appreciate every nuance, it is recommended to let it breathe briefly and serve at a temperature between 14 and 16°C. In the kitchen, it pairs perfectly with tomato-based dishes and spicy recipes, but also goes excellently with cheeses, pork and vegetarian dishes. Served slightly cooler, it proves to be an original companion for a fish-based aperitif.

History and Curiosities

Founded in Soldano in 1998, the family-run Ka Mancine winery expresses a genuine passion for the ancient Ligurian winemaking traditions. Dolceacqua Beragna is a tribute to the native Rossese grape variety, carefully tended by oenologist Daniela Serra. Ka Manciné. Not the simple label of a bottle, but the proud banner of an authentic story, made up of real people and strong bonds.

The story of a family, its traditions and love for its land.

"I MANCINEI'... a historic Soldano family whose roots are firmly rooted in those places, where wine-growing is considered an arduous undertaking for anyone... and a stubborn man with a dream to realise.

Thus began the adventure of Maurizio Anfosso dei Mancinei and his family, who, seizing the legacy of their ancestors, were able to give life to an extraordinary wine, with multiple nuances but with a soul as sincere as the land from which it comes.
