Description
Etna DOC still red wine, produced by I Vigneri, 2023 vintage, with 80% Nerello Mascalese, 10% Alicante, and 10% Nerello Cappuccio. A wine that embodies the essence of the Etna volcano, with grapes grown at 700 meters above sea level. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel with 15-day maceration on the skins, aged for 12 months in barriques. The nose is intense, with hints of black cherries and blueberries, mineral notes, and hints of stone. On the palate, it is soft and fresh, with velvety tannins and a full body, offering great persistence. Perfect with meat-based dishes, ideal with pappardelle with hare ragù.

When his silver head appears between the rows of Carricante and Milo you understand that his place is there, among those vineyards on Mount Etna. As well as when he speaks to you, in his Palmento undergoing restructuring, natural wines, rather than natural ones of "IViniUmani".
The Manifesto reports verbatim: "A vine without the care of the winemaker is able to give grapes, even if the fruit will be very different from what we want to make a good wine. Wine is a human product.
Made by Man, in which he has always put his whole self, his genius, his creativity, his passion, his talent, sacrifice and commitment to producing it. In some cases also his astuteness, hypocrisy, dishonesty and impropriety. Ultimately everyone makes the wine that is! ... "
Winemaker and perhaps one of the greatest connoisseurs of the different potentials of Etna, always called to win both Carricante and Nerello Mascalese also for other producers, has managed today to achieve the goal of producing its wines from vineyards of over 100 years, with yields that are around 30 quintals. Essential, direct, pure wines. Timeless wines, just human wines. Read more
