Description

Still red Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, 15.5% ABV, produced by Banfi in Tuscany. 100% Sangiovese, 2018 vintage. A Brunello di Montalcino Riserva that represents the excellence of Banfi's production, with a label that celebrates its history and passion for wine. The specialized vineyards are located around the Castello di Poggio alle Mura. Aged for two years, 90% in 350-liter French oak barriques and the remaining 10% in large 90- and 60-hl barrels, the wine ages in bottle for an additional 12 months before being released. Ample and rich, with hints of plum jam, coffee, cocoa, and a light balsamic note. Deep red with garnet hues. Great power and fullness, with ripe, gentle tannins that make it velvety and harmonious.

Founded in 1978 by the vision of Italian-American brothers John and Harry Mariani, Banfi represents a marriage of winemaking passion and technological innovation.
