Description
What type of spirit it is
Via Arama 30 Gin London Dry by Arama is a crystalline Venetian spirit with a lively aromatic profile. On the nose, clear notes of juniper and fresh citrus hints emerge, accompanied by a pronounced vegetal character. On the palate, it delivers a dry and structured flavour, demonstrating great technical precision in every sip. The sensory experience, ideal for neat tasting, concludes with a pleasantly bitter and extremely clean finish.
Where it comes from
This London Dry Gin has its roots in Veneto, celebrating a deep connection with Treviso agriculture. The name is derived from the union of the verbs to plough and to love, emphasising respect for the land. Its local character is defined by the use of Radicchio Rosso di Treviso, a signature botanical that gives the spirit its distinctive touch. Its essence imparts a controlled bitter vein, perfectly balanced with citrus notes. The result is a coherent aromatic profile, capable of evoking the rural landscape through a dry sip.
How it is produced
Production relies on steam distillation, a meticulous technique that delicately extracts the essence of each botanical. This method ensures extraordinary aromatic clarity, harmonising the strength of juniper with the finesse of radicchio. With an alcohol content of 40%, the spirit displays a solid and defined structure. Its pronounced vegetal and herbal nature makes it perfect for classic mixing, an ideal base to enhance sour-style cocktails and gin and tonics, to which it lends a fresh bitter note.

In 1862, Radicchio Rosso di Treviso was mentioned for the first time in the publication L’Agricolo. The beauty of its variegated leaves, its unique flavour and its many beneficial properties inspired our great‑grandparents, in the mid‑1900s, to begin selling Radicchio Rosso di Treviso outside the Veneto region. While most people used radicchio as a table vegetable, during the filò—evening gatherings in rural homes—farming families began preparing infusions using the roots and leaves of the radicchio.
