Description
Still white wine made from Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC, 13.5% ABV, produced by Valle Reale. 100% Trebbiano, a grape variety that best expresses the character of the Abruzzo region. 0.75L bottle, 2021 vintage. A wine born from the passion of a winery dedicated to infusing tradition and personality into its wines. The vineyards are located between 350 and 400 meters above sea level, on rocky soils with a moderate amount of clay. The broad and refined aroma features smoky mineral notes overlapping with delicious hints of saffron, cedar, wildflower, white pepper, lychee, pineapple in syrup, mint, sage, and gooseberry. Straw yellow tending towards golden. Refined on the palate, it displays structure and pleasantness through energetic savoriness and lively freshness. Soft and persistent, with citrus and mineral notes that last for minutes.

This gives rise to original wines, a faithful imprint of terroir and cultivated varieties, exclusively traditional. Six labels presented this year, of which as many as five really distance themselves by a whisker and which sees the return of Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Vigneto Sant’Eusanio.
The Trebbiano d’Abruzzo Vigneto di Popoli, on the other hand, lends itself and places itself on the podium, with its ample and complex bouquet and clean, warm and persistent taste. Great absentees this year Il Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Vigna del Convento di Capestrano 2016, not produced due to the violent frost suffered in April of that year, and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo San Calisto, whose grapes did not reach the phenolic maturity desired again because of frosts and that we will find again with the 2015 vintage in the next editions of the Guide.
