Description
Still green rosé from Etna DOC, 12.5% ABV, produced by Cantine Tornatore. 100% Nerello Mascalese, 0.75 L bottle, 2024 vintage. A rosé that embodies the freshness and minerality of the Etna terroir, produced by a winery with a history dating back to 1865. Harvested in the second and third ten days of October. The grapes, hand-picked in small crates, are quickly brought to the winery and manually sorted on a conveyor belt. Destemmed and lightly crushed, they are sent to the press where they are gently pressed. The resulting must is cold-clarified and fermented at a temperature of 15-16°C. Once fermentation is complete, the wine rests on the fine lees for approximately 3 months. Aged for 3 months in stainless steel and 2 months in bottle. Surprisingly fruity; reminiscent of white mulberry, yellow melon, and small berries. Cherry red, tending towards antique pink. On the palate, it is full-bodied, persistent, and fresh, with a mineral note that gives us hope for a long life.
