Description

Still organic red, Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, 14% ABV, 100% Sangiovese, produced by Poggio di Sotto. 2018 vintage, 0.75L bottle. A wine born from a passion for Sangiovese and a search for the finest terroirs in Montalcino. Manual harvest, spontaneous fermentation in wooden vats, and aging for 42 months in 30-hl Slovenian oak barrels. The nose is subtle, but it screams the terroir, with notes of cherries and wild rose, violet, blood orange, mint, iodine, and a hint of Honduran tobacco. Ruby red tending toward garnet, with a vivid luminosity. The palate is impactful, boasting both structure and elegance, rich in velvety tannins, brilliant freshness, and a savory finish. Long, balsamic finish.
