Description

What kind of wine it is

Champagne Petit Camusat Blanc de Blancs Brut is an elegant Traditional Method sparkling wine that highlights Pinot Blanc. It appears a pale yellow with silvery reflections and a velvety creamy effervescence. On the nose, it releases aromas of ripe apple, pear, acacia blossom, almond and oats. The palate is clean, supported by a fresh citrus acidity and a pronounced chalky minerality that enhances the fruity notes. It represents an ideal balance to accompany delicate starters, shellfish, seafood pasta dishes and cheeses.

Where it comes from

This Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut originates in the Aube, produced by the artisan winery Petit Camusat. Its uniqueness lies in the exclusive use of Pinot Blanc, a rare grape variety for the region, grown in old vines over forty years of age. These historic plants draw great aromatic concentration from the chalky soil, giving the wine a pronounced territorial character. Strict vineyard management allows for a pure, vibrant flavour profile in perfect harmony with its place of origin.

How it is produced

The winemaking process aims to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The must undergoes malolactic fermentation in tanks and, to protect the delicate aromatic nuances, is neither cold stabilised nor filtered. The secondary fermentation takes place according to the principles of the Traditional Method, with maturation on the lees for over fifteen months. The addition of a dosage liqueur free from preservatives defines the Brut dosage, delivering a pure, crisp and extraordinarily dynamic tasting experience.

History and Curiosities

Located in the Aube and run by Frédéric and Evelyne, the Petit Camusat winery produces artisanal excellence. The uniqueness of this Champagne lies in the use of Pinot Blanc, a rare grape variety harvested from old vines over forty years old. To preserve a pure and fragrant aromatic profile, the wine is aged on the lees for over fifteen months and is bottled without filtration or preservatives. This fine limited edition expresses profound elegance, offering the palate an intense, authentic and truly inimitable sip.
