Neisson is a distillery in Martinique, in the municipality of Le Carbet. The owner Gregory Vernant Neisson is now the last master distiller to own the island. Neisson also owns the sugar cane that he uses to produce Rhum Agricole.
It grows 3 types of non-hybrid cane: the malanoi, the rubanée and the cristalline, which have been included, after a long struggle, among the barrels allowed in the AOC of Rhum Agricole della Martinique. The fermentation of the pure sugar cane juice takes about 72 hours, one of the longest of all the French Antilles, developing a unique aromatic complexity. Read more
