Still red Burgundy, 13.5% ABV, produced by Domaine Marchand Fréres. 100% Pinot Noir, 2021 vintage. A Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Les Millandes that embodies the elegance and complexity of Burgundian Pinot Noir. Cold maceration for 10-12 days, malolactic fermentation in barrels, and aging for 18 months in oak barrels, 50% new. Notes of red fruit and flowers alternating with hints of licorice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with juicy tannins and a lively finish with good acidity. A wine that promises a long evolution in the bottle.

Undeniably, the work of building up a profitable wine business was shouldered prematurely by youg Pierre who, before his death in 1871, had a son François, born in 1848, who eventually took over the vineyard.
Afterwards came François'son François-Joseph, know by Joseph, who was succeded by Emilie, father of Claude the present owner. In 1983, the property grew to include an 18 th century winegrower's house located in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin.
Since 1999, Denis, Claude's second son, has taken over from his father. Read more
