Still red wine from Burgundy, Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru, 13% ABV, produced by Domaine Marchand Fréres. 100% Pinot Noir, 0.75L bottle, 2020 vintage. A Grand Cru that embodies the excellence of Burgundy, produced by a historic family-run winery. Cold maceration for 10-2 days. Alcoholic fermentation for 10-2 days. Daily punching and pumping over. Free-run blending and pressing. Malolactic fermentation in barrel. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels (100% new). Attractive aromas of blackberry, raspberry jam, and rose petals, all very well defined. The color is carmine red. The wine is moderately full-bodied with supple, ripe, and sweet red fruits.

Undeniably, the work of building up a profitable wine business was shouldered prematurely by youg Pierre who, before his death in 1871, had a son François, born in 1848, who eventually took over the vineyard.
Afterwards came François'son François-Joseph, know by Joseph, who was succeded by Emilie, father of Claude the present owner. In 1983, the property grew to include an 18 th century winegrower's house located in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin.
Since 1999, Denis, Claude's second son, has taken over from his father. Read more
