Description
What kind of spirit is this?
M’Arama Amaro ai Marroni by Arama is an artisanal Venetian liqueur crafted to showcase local chestnuts. Displaying an intense amber colour, this amaro offers a structured aromatic profile defined by chestnut and caramel notes, complemented by Alpine herbs and warm spices. The palate is smooth and enveloping, delivering a clean bitter edge intertwined with distinct hints of dried fruit. Culminating in a long, spiced finish, it serves as an excellent after-dinner digestif, where its balanced intensity and precise aromatics can be fully appreciated.
Where does it come from?
Hailing from the Veneto region, this liqueur is deeply rooted in the Treviso area. The local landscape is intrinsically linked to the cultivation of chestnuts—an agricultural heritage that forms the foundation of the recipe. Its regional identity is reflected in a tasting profile that bridges the richness of natural produce with the fresh herbal character of the surrounding environment. By harmonising sweet caramel undertones with Alpine herbs, the amaro expresses its Treviso provenance through direct, recognisable aromas and a consistent structure.

While most people used radicchio as a table vegetable, during the filò—evening gatherings in rural homes—farming families began preparing infusions using the roots and leaves of the radicchio.
