Description
A historical label of the terroir. This wine was initially produced in the 1960s and 1970s by the estate Villa del Ferro Lazzarini, from whom we recently purchased their vineyards.
This wine is dedicated to its creator Alfredo Lazzarini; it holds a history of the Colli Berici that must not be forgotten.
One of the first vintages produced by Alfredo Lazzarini was defined by the great wine and gastronomic journalist Luigi Veronelli as an “unimaginable wine, comparable because of its esoteric charm to the best Paulliac.” Veronelli considered the Colli Berici as one of the best areas for the Bordeaux varieties, alongside the Bolgheri area.
This wine is a selection of the original Merlot pergola vineyard, which is 50 years old.
