Description
Organic still red wine from Tuscany, 14% ABV, produced by Duemani. 100% Syrah, a varietal that best expresses the character of the terroir. Vintage 2021. The winery, founded in 2000 by Elena Celli and Luca D'Attoma, cultivates its vines using biodynamic methods on the Tuscan coast, between Riparbella and Castellina Marittima. The soil is characterized by high salinity, with up to 40% clay and limestone. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in barriques and tonneaux with manual punching down and careful temperature control. Maceration on the skins lasts 25 days, then the wine is racked and transferred to the same barriques used for fermentation. Aged for 22 months in French oak barriques and 300-liter tonneaux, 90% new and 10% new. It does not undergo fining or filtration. An imposing nose of black berries, eucalyptus, cloves, and sweet pepper. Bright ruby red in color. The palate opens with a rounded entry, great flavor, and very fine tannins, finishing with balsamic nuances. Long finish.
