Description
Don Papa rum comes from Southeast Asia, directly from the island of Negros, famous for its distilleries and sugarcane production. This rum is produced in a limited edition by the Bleeding Heart Company, a leading producer of Philippine rum and renowned for its collaboration with the best master blenders. Don Papa is a tribute to Isio the Pope, a Filipino religious leader and leader of the Black independence movement. The creators of Don Papa rum have thus succeeded in creating a high-quality product, thanks to the expert distillation of sugarcane produced on the island of Negros. Don Papa rum is refined on the slopes of the volcanic mountain Kanla-on, the main peak in the central Philippines. The climate in that area is equatorial, characterized by consistently humid and warm seasons, which favor the evaporation of some of the alcohol. Don Papa rum is also matured in American oak barrels, double-toasted for a period of at least 7 years. Thanks to this process, Don Papa achieves an amber color. The product also takes on an optimal body and a distinctive aroma, with distinct citrus and caramel notes. The sweet and intense flavor of this rum is also the result of distillation with charcoal.
