The French Revolution forced the monks into exile. Their cellar and vineyards were sold to our family as national property in 1794.

Todayā€™s 37-acre vineyard still covers the slopes of Montaigu in the CĆ“tes du Jura appellation area. In keeping with our estateā€™s philosophy, the vineyard is cultivated biodynamically and the wines age in oak barrels in the 700-year-old cellar. We, Marie Florence, Antoine and Jean Etienne Pignier are today perpetuating our family tradition. We aim to develop our estate by producing first-rate wines, and everything we do is governed by this quality principle. Read more
