Description
Organic sweet moldy passito from Southwest France, produced by Domaine de l'Ancienne Cure, Monbazillac AOC, 2017 vintage. Blend: 50% Semillon, 40% Muscadelle, 10% Chenin Blanc. 0.75L bottle. A wine born from the passion of Christian Roche, who chose to return to his roots to produce high-quality wines. Fermentation at 20°C for 180 days. Aging. On the nose, it displays remarkable complexity with its well-opened aromas of dried fruit, stewed fruit, and citrus fruit. The palate, with its majestic volume, is impressively unctuous, supported by the necessary freshness to bring balance and superb length to the finish. A model of harmony and controlled power.

Today the vineyard, in conversion to organic farming, covers 45 hectares on the denominations Monbazillac, Bergerac and Pécharmant. The dominant grape variety - almost half of the vines - is Semillon, followed by Merlot, Merlot, Muscadelle, Sauvignon and Cabernet.
After a winemaking, Christian Roche had an awareness: to overcome himself, he had to return to the foundations, that is, to the earth and the plant to produce beautiful grapes. This desire for renewal allows the production of high quality wines, such as the Extase and Abbaye cuvée. Read more
