Description
Still red from Provence, France, 14% ABV, produced by Chateau Simone. Blend: 45% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, 5% Cinsault, Carignano, Syrah, 2020 vintage. A wine born from an exceptional terroir, cultivated by the Rougier family since 1830. Harvested exclusively by hand at full ripeness, sorted, fermented with native yeasts and controlled temperatures. Light pressing and destemming, fermentation in small tanks with pumping over, maceration for 15 to 21 days. Aged exclusively in wood, first in small barrels for 8 months, then for a year in oak barrels of various ages. Intense ruby red color. Robust, rich in noble tannins, this wine has good aging potential.

Located in the commune of Meyreuil and just four kilometres from Aix en Provence, the old bastide of the Grands Carmes d'Aix monks, now the Chateau Simone, has been in the hands of the Rougier family since 1830.
