Description
Brut red sparkling wine made using the classic method, produced by Cantina della Volta in Emilia-Romagna. Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC, 12.5% ABV, 100% Lambrusco di Sorbara. 0.75L bottle. A sparkling Lambrusco that celebrates the Emilian tradition with the classic method. The nose reveals inviting aromas of raspberries and juicy strawberries mixed with intriguing citrus notes. Fine, continuous beads of perlage. Bright ruby red in color. The palate is assertive, like an authentic Sorbara, then expands with rich fruit flavors. A pleasant finish, good persistence, and an excellent balance between acidity and savory flavors.

The company is based in the original building of the Cantina Bellei, built by Christian’s great-grandfather on the banks of the Naviglio di Bomporto canal, near the 18th-century dock, where boats would perform la volta (‘the turnaround’) before setting sail once more to return back to the city of Modena. It is to this place, steeped in meaning and history, that we owe the symbol of the riverboat and the company name of the Cantina della Volta. Read more
