Description

Vicus is first of all a borough, a village that differs from the civitas not so much for its size or importance, but because it does not have, like the latter, an autonomous political-administrative organisation; secondly, it is the complex of several houses and streets of a city, what we would today call a neighbourhood.

Perfume

Perfume

A fresh and intense bouquet of Golden apple, cinnamon, acacia flowers, custard and notes of bergamot mingle harmoniously with hints of white peach.

Color

Color

A radiant soul manifests itself at first glance in its golden yellow dress, enriched with amber reflections evoking the warmth of the sun and the ripeness of the fruit.

Taste

Taste

An irresistible symphony of flavours captures the palate. The initial freshness is combined with a vibrant mineral savouriness. The full, enveloping body caresses the palate with tones of almond, peach and custard. The perfectly balanced alcohol blends with subtle spices, giving a lingering finish and character. A white wine that reflects the terroir: a clean wine that contains within it the aromas and scents of a new and hitherto unexplored terroir.

Cantina 837
From this winery
Cantina 837 is the result of the meeting of three eclectic and innovative figures, united by a deep bond with the mountains and their unique terroir: Claudio Coradazzi, who brings his consolidated experience and knowledge of the area, Andrea Marcato, a tenacious entrepreneur and great admirer of his homeland, and Roberto Baldovin, former head of the winery of the same name.

The mountains of Carnia, caskets of biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes, are suffering from a silent exodus. Villages empty, uncultivated fields multiply, traditions are lost. But we have a hope that is also a certainty: environmentally friendly agriculture, a valuable ally in reversing the trend and sowing the seeds of a flourishing future.

In uncharted territory, innovation becomes the key to achieving the impossible.
PIWI, A COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY. For us, sustainability is not just a word, but a concrete commitment that is reflected in every choice, from the vineyard to the bottle. PIWI vines, which are resistant to the mountain climate and fungal diseases, allow us to grow grapes in a natural way, drastically reducing or completely eliminating the use of pesticides and fungicides.
