Up and down the world, vintage after vintage, I became aware of what I love to do: travel by making wine.
The soft hills of France, the sunny valleys of Australia, the rugged coastlines of New Zealand.
The Grape Hunter was born from this, from the need to discover that overcomes the fear of the unknown.
Visiting unique territories and encountering different cultures, I have met people who have passed on their knowledge to me.
With them I have laughed and spent unforgettable moments; some of them have become friends.
In this grape pierced by an arrow, is where I have decided to put the essence of it all. My journeys, my teachings, my joys, my defeats, my dreams....
The first hunt begins in 2019 with the discovery of an extraordinary territory, the Euganean Hills, ancient volcanoes of the past, now uniquely shaped hills covered in lush vegetation.
The artisan spirit is what I want to embody in these wines, without any rules.
The journey of each bottle begins with the search for unique vineyards and knowledgeable winemakers, grapes harvested by hand and fermented spontaneously. Without using anything that nature has not bestowed upon us, ultimately encapsulating in each wine the unique soul of the vine and the land that guards it.
Now my simple passion has turned into something more and the hope is that the space in that suitcase may never run out." (Paolo Barillari - Founder and oenologist) Read more
