Description
Cuvée Annamaria Clementi is a white sparkling wine made using the classic method. An expression of the excellence of the Francacorta area (in the province of Brescia), the wine owes its name to the founder of the Ca' del Bosco winery. In the mid-1960s, Annamaria Clementi purchased a plot of land in the municipality of Erbusco, complete with woods and vineyards, where the company would later be established. Her son, Maurizio Zanella, the current owner, enhanced and refined the winemaking process of the nascent company. Cuvée Annamaria Clementi is produced only in the best years and is the result of a long process of research, selection, and care; elements that make it an excellent sparkling wine, elegant and with fine bubbles. One of its key characteristics is that it is fermented for seven months in oak barrels and aged for seven years in the bottle on the lees. The temperature of the cellars where it ages is controlled and kept constant at 12 degrees Celsius. The grapes are selected from the company's top ten crus, while the grape varieties used to make the wine are Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir.

| Wine making | The Cuvée Annamaria Clementi is the result of the quest for excellence first in the vineyard and then in the cellar. The base wines are obtained by alcoholic fermentation of first-portion must (about 40% of grape weight) directly in small oak barrels for about 7 months. No compromise, only the best base wines, from at least 10 different crus, are then blended to give rise to this extraordinary cuvée. The very long bottle ageing for 7 years in contact with the yeasts, in cellars at a controlled and constant temperature of 12°C, determines its unique profile: an extraordinary Franciacorta. |
