Description
What kind of wine it is
Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Muncagota Riserva is a red wine from Piedmont that enhances the essence of Nebbiolo grapes. Characterised by an elegant garnet red colour, it reveals a complex bouquet with aromas of red fruit, delicate floral notes and deep spicy and tertiary accents. On the palate, it presents itself as a wine with a pronounced structure, rich in extracts and enveloping, capable of maintaining a refined technical balance. This innate sensory elegance makes it particularly long-lived and suited to ageing, expressing its aromatic identity at its best as the years go by.
Where it comes from
This wine originates from the prestigious Barbaresco area, in the province of Cuneo, a prime territory for Piedmontese viticulture. The vineyards are rooted in clay-limestone soil with sandy veins, an ideal combination to give depth and expressive clarity to the grapes. The agricultural work is coordinated by the Produttori del Barbaresco, an organisation that since 1958 has brought together over fifty families dedicated to caring for their plots. The careful management of the vineyards allows for a glass with a strong identity, capable of translating the pedoclimatic nuances of the area into a pure and authentic experience.
How it is produced
After a rigorous manual harvest, the must ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about 28 days, completing malolactic fermentation. Ageing continues for 36 months in oak barrels, before concluding with a necessary rest in the bottle. To enjoy it at its best, it is recommended to decant for one hour, ideal for allowing the fine tertiary aromas to fully emerge. Served at a temperature between 18 and 20°C, it pairs masterfully with roast meats, rich game dishes, structured first courses and selections of mature cheeses, offering a perfect gustatory balance.
