The Azienda Agricola Caciorgna Pietro, is located in the town of Casole d 'Elsa, in the province of Siena; an enchanting territory located in the heart of Tuscany, full of wonderful villages, of which Casole is the most important. It is about 30 km from Siena and San Gimignano, 12 km from Colle val d 'Elsa, 50 km from Florence.

In 1953 Giovanni and Fulvia Caciorgna, fell in love with this campaign, where they decided to move with their seven children, selling their small "Podere" located near the Tower of Pitino, a beautiful hill near San Severino Marche, to buy a small strip of a large estate, belonging to the Bargagli family first, then Visconti, currently "Castle of Casole", where to continue to make the "trade" of "peasants", a profession handed down from generation to generation.

Today the company has a total area of about 20 hectares, cultivated with cereals, corn, sunflower, fodder for the small breeding of Chianina cattle, and obviously also produces wine, in the past only for family consumption, partly sold in bulk, to individuals. Currently, the vineyard located in the hill called "Osteria delle Macchie", planted in 2001 in Sangiovese, measures about 2.3 hectares.

Since 2007, the D.O.C. has been recognized in the territory of the Municipality of Casole d'Elsa, for which the Macchie wine, on the label, has the denomination "Terre di Casole Sangiovese".

Leading the Company is Pietro Caciorgna in first person with his wife Elda, who mainly takes care of the farm, the breeding of small farmyard animals, and the vegetable garden for the production of fresh vegetables for family consumption. The philosophy of the Caciorgna family is to produce quality that respects the environment and consumer health, so no chemical fertilizers are used, and to prevent vine diseases, only traditional products such as copper and sulfur are used.

As well as all the livestock feed is produced directly in the company. It is a choice of life that puts first the values of "peasant culture", which combines the love for rural life, for simple things, the constant search for the best cultivation techniques, with the awareness that the times of the "earth" are made of long waits, often accompanied by imponderable risks. The first production was the 2004 vintage.

Between 2009 and 2011 a cellar was built to facilitate complete control of production and therefore increase the quality, making any possible improvement to the different stages of processing that follow each other starting from the harvest to get to the bottling.
