Description
What kind of wine is it
The Champagne Des Jours et des Muids Brut Nature by Paul Gosset is produced following the rigorous technique of the Traditional Method. This zero dosage sparkling wine is created from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, presenting a golden yellow colour enhanced by a fine and lively perlage. On the nose, it reveals a harmonious bouquet where smoky notes intertwine with fruity hints of blackberry, elderberry and strawberry, while on the palate it offers a spicy freshness and remarkable persistence.
Where does it come from
This label originates in the heart of the renowned Champagne region. Production is overseen by the Paul Gosset family, guardians of an agricultural heritage dating back to the sixteenth century. The vineyards are cultivated with a careful organic and sustainable approach, in full respect of the ecosystem. The absence of dosage allows the wine to purely and faithfully reflect the distinctive characteristics of its terroir of origin.
How is it produced
Vinification follows the slow pace dictated by the Traditional Method, with the secondary fermentation taking place naturally in the bottle. The lack of added sugars defines an extremely dry and linear profile, giving this sparkling wine an ageing potential that can reach up to ten years. Served at an ideal temperature of 6–8 °C, it pairs superbly with fish and shellfish dishes, and also proves excellent with refined starters and cheese selections.
History and Curiosities
The Gosset Paul family has preserved a precious oenological heritage in the Champagne region since the 16th century. Today, Paul and Michael sustainably cultivate 3.5 hectares of vineyards to create authentic wines. The Champagne Des Jours et des Muids Brut Nature masterfully combines Pinot Noir and Chardonnay through a rigorous traditional method pas dosé. This sparkling wine offers a pure interpretation of the terroir, enhanced by a fine and lively perlage that accompanies a long, pleasantly fresh and spicy sip.
