Description
What kind of wine it is
Rosato di Nervi Conterno is a still rosé wine from Piedmont, created from a blend of Nebbiolo and Uva Rara grapes. In the glass, it displays a delicate pink colour, hinting at a bouquet defined by fragrant citrus and floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh, pleasant and vibrant, standing out for its immediate drinkability combined with a pronounced minerality. Its clean flavour profile makes it ideal to serve well-chilled, harmoniously accompanying lean fish dishes and cheeses, naturally enriching moments of sharing.
Where it comes from
This wine reflects the authentic character of Gattinara, in Upper Piedmont. The identity of the sip is shaped by the local volcanic soils, formed from quartz porphyry slopes rich in iron, magnesium and potassium. The grapes grow in the renowned Vigna Molsino, a magnificent natural amphitheatre facing south. This geographical position ensures the vines receive constant sunlight, guaranteeing a slow and complete ripening of the bunches, an essential factor in imparting a vibrant acidity and a deep sense of place to the wine.
How it is produced
Produced by Nervi Conterno, the oldest winery in the area founded in 1905, this rosé is crafted under the oenological direction of Roberto Conterno. The winemaking process is carefully calibrated to preserve the fresh and vibrant profile of the grapes, enhancing their elegance without any technical manipulation. The entire process highlights the quality of the raw material, resulting in a sip of clear balance. Thanks to the structure of the cultivated varieties, the wine boasts an ageing potential of three to five years, maintaining its captivating mineral character over time.

Founded in 1905 by Luigi Nervi, the winery has always been a benchmark for Nebbiolo production in Valsesia, also known as the greenest valley in Italy. The vineyards stretch across spectacular purple-hued slopes, due to the presence of quartz porphyry of volcanic origin, which gives the wines a distinct character compared to those from the Langhe or Roero regions.
One of the estate’s most iconic crus is Vigna Molsino, a natural amphitheater facing south, cradling the vines and allowing for slow, complete ripening. In this unique setting, the winery experienced a major turning point in 2018 with the arrival of Roberto Conterno—already renowned for his Barolo production at the Giacomo Conterno winery in Monforte d’Alba. With the acquisition of Nervi and its 27 hectares of vineyards, Conterno chose to invest in the potential of Nebbiolo from Upper Piedmont, helping to elevate the prestige of Gattinara DOCG on an international scale.
