Description

Still white wine from Lazio IGT, 11.5% ABV, produced by the Trappist Monastery of Vitorchiano. Blend: 45% Trebbiano, 35% Malvasia del Lazio, 20% Verdicchio Bianco. 0.75 l bottle, 2024 vintage. A wine born from the passion and dedication of the Trappist nuns, who follow the Rule of Saint Benedict. Produced using traditional methods, without chemical treatments, it reflects the harmony between man and nature. Floral aromas on the nose, accompanied by notes of apple and pear. Yellow with amber reflections. On the palate, the wine is fresh and savory, an invitation to discover the purity of the Lazio region.

We are a community of the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance (better known as the Trappist Order) and we belong to that monastic movement which, from the sixth century, following the Rule of St Benedict, evangelised and promoted the development of the whole of Europe. The Cistercian Order was born in 1098, in Cîteaux (France), where some monks from Molesme (a Benedictine abbey) wanted to build a new monastery to strive to live the Rule of St. Benedict with more authenticity and purity. S. Robert, St Alberic and St Stephen were its founders and first abbots. Read more
