Description
A still red from the heart of Tuscany, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, 14% ABV, produced by Podere Le Ripi. 100% Sangiovese, 0.75L bottle, 2021 vintage. A wine born from a dream, as the label states, and one that embodies the passion and dedication of those who produce it. Fermentation and maceration for 20 days in concrete vats, aged for 30 months in large oak barrels. On the nose, it expresses itself as a symphony of aromas ranging from intense cherry, strawberry, and violet to the fresh balsamic notes of aromatic herbs. Intense ruby red color with elegant orange highlights. A broad and imposing structure that reveals great minerality and a long-lasting finish.

This dream is also an aesthetic one: of creating something extremely beautiful. When I was 18 years old it was supposed to be an island, and Podere le Ripi is not an island, but it is some sort of a peninsula that dives into the noisy Orcia river.
With time, this something beautiful became also healthy and sustainable, and subsequently we realized that it could have been applied somewhere else, therefore becoming replicable and socially positive in its approach. Read more
