Description
What kind of wine it is
Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Champagne is a Traditional Method wine with a white gold colour and a fine, persistent perlage. This blend carefully combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, expressing a style that is both fresh and structured. The aromatic profile releases notes of honeysuckle, lemon, clementine, fresh butter, hazelnut and honey. On the palate, it offers a delicate attack, a silky texture and an elegant mineral imprint. The tasting concludes with a long, savoury citrus finish.
Where it comes from
This cuvée originates in the Champagne region, bringing together the finest winemaking areas of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. The grapes come from eleven strictly selected Grand Cru vineyards: for Chardonnay, the vineyards of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Cramant and Avize are chosen, while the Pinot Noir comes from Tours-sur-Marne, Ambonnay, Bouzy and Verzy. The Laurent-Perrier winery serves as the ideal meeting point between these renowned areas, ensuring remarkable aromatic precision and great consistency of flavour over time.
How it is produced
Faithfully crafted using the Traditional Method, this wine is a meticulous blend of several outstanding vintages. After the vinification stage, it undergoes ageing on the lees for at least ten years in the cellars, an essential step in developing its distinctive silky texture and pronounced aromatic complexity. The process is completed with a Brut dosage, maintaining a perfectly balanced liveliness and a clear persistence, consistently supported by delicate notes of dried fruit.
