Description
Still organic red wine, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC, 15% ABV, produced by La Valentina in the municipality of Spoltore, near Pescara. Vintage 2020. A Montepulciano Riserva that best expresses the character of the grape variety and the Abruzzo terroir. Maceration and fermentation for approximately 30 days in open-topped Slavonian oak truncated-cone vats. Aged partly in barriques, partly in tonneaux, and partly in the same fermentation vats for approximately 18 months. Racking and bottling during the most favorable lunar phase, without filtration, a year before release. The bouquet highlights aromas and flavors of dark plum, blackberry nectar, and aromatic herbs, enriched with notes of coffee and cocoa. Dark ruby color with hints of purple ink. Its majestic character explodes on the palate, dense yet fresh, characterized by noble and powerful tannins and a hint of violet. The finish is long and clean with a hint of minerality that enhances its characteristics of liveliness, power and cleanliness.

Our wines are the natural products of our own terroir – our unique combination of terrain and soil – which we try to convey to every bottle and which is the secret of our original taste. The local micro-climate and the land itself, to which our vines are bound and so well-adapted, give us wines of unique and distinctive character. We are convinced that a fine wine is born from the sum of countless tiny details, so our objective must not only be to consistently produce fine wines, but also to make sure that they are and will always remain authentic.
